Pictures on these web pages were taken using a Minolta SRT-101 camera, together with a Minolta 50mm f/1.4 MC Rokkor standard or Minolta 135mm f/2.8 Rokkor telephoto lens. The film was Kodachrome II (ASA 25), Kodachrome X (ASA 64), Ektachrome X (ASA 64), High Speed Ektachrome (ASA 160) slide film.

The camera and lenses were carried inside an armored personnel carrier (APC), in an empty steel ammunition box that originally contained 50 caliber machine gun ammo. Foam rubber padding was added to the box to reduce the shock from the sometimes not so gentle ride.

Exposed Kodak film was mailed to the Kodak processing lab in Rochester, NY and the finished slides were sent from the lab to my parents home in Minnesota.

The Kodachrome slides have remained virtually the same since 1969, but the colors have somewhat deteriorated with the Ektachrome slides during the time that has passed.

The Minolta SRT-101 features shutter speeds of 1 sec to 1/1000 second, and a built-in exposure meter.
